After providing Placer County courier service for 20 years we thought we had lost the award this year. A competing company undercut our bid and managed to slip their foot in the door. While we were quite disappointed, we understand that saving money is a top priority in these troubled economic times. However, we still had hope that the other courier service would not be able to handle the job; the Library route is tough on any driver, sometimes requiring them to move 70+ totes full of books a day (We just happen to have an amazing employee who has done it for the past 20 years)! Sure enough, the first day of the contract we got a call from Placer County saying they had changed their award. We almost had a party to celebrate!
